As part of the referral management system, we make sure that patients are seen in the most appropriate healthcare setting for the type of care they require. The referral will be assessed by a clinician who will take the information provided by your dentist into account, in order to determine where the problem is located.
When you refer a patient to a specialist, you’re providing them with what you think is the best treatment for their particular condition based on what you see. Whilst the outcome of treatment can never be guaranteed, the most appropriate treatment is more likely going to provide the patient with the most appropriate outcome.
